For more detailed information about courses, credit values, course load, equivalence courses, elective courses, adding and dropping courses, withdrawing from courses, attendance and exams, make-up exams, and graduation, you can access the Çankaya University Undergraduate Education-Teaching Regulation by clicking here.

1. Elective Courses (Total of 13 Courses)

Technical Elective Courses (11 Courses)

  • The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department curriculum includes a total of 11 technical elective courses.
  • At least 7 technical elective courses must be taken from the EE department.
  • 4 different courses can be taken from different departments outside the EE department. At least 2 of these must be selected from the courses listed on the department website.
  • The remaining 2 technical elective courses can be chosen from the technical elective courses listed on the department website or any course offered in the faculty of engineering with the approval of the advisor (without the obligation to be in the department elective pool).

Social Elective Course (1 Course)

  • The social elective course must be selected from the list of social courses approved by the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department and available on the website.

Free Elective Course (1 Course)

  • The free elective course can be chosen as a social elective, technical elective, or free elective course without any restrictions among the courses offered at the university.

2. Prerequisite Courses

  • Prerequisite courses must be checked from the curriculum on the department website to avoid problems in future course selections.
  • To take the EE 407 course, which is in the 4th year, the EE 208 course must be completed before reaching the 4th year.
  • The EE 103 course can be taken concurrently with the EE 407 course as it is a co-requisite.
  • Check the curriculum for other prerequisite courses.

3. Internship Courses

  • Internship courses should not be taken before the internship is completed.
  • Students must take the EE 200 or EE 300 courses in the first semester following the completion of their internships.
  • These courses should not be taken before the internships are completed, otherwise, failure will occur.

4. Academic Insufficiency Status

  • At the end of the 2nd semester, students with a GPA below 1.70 can take a maximum of 5 courses in the next term.
  • Priority should be given to courses that need to be retaken.

5. Taking Additional Courses

  • Students with a GPA or semester GPA between 2.00 – 2.49 in the previous term can take 1 additional course.
  • Students with a GPA or semester GPA between 2.50 – 4.00 in the previous term can take 2 additional courses.

6. Course Deletion

  • Students who have completed the courses required for graduation but have excess credits can delete up to 2 elective courses they have passed or failed at the end of the term by submitting a petition.

7. Senior Students

  • Senior students can take a maximum of 5 courses, except for non-credit courses.

8. Additional Exams and Graduation

Additional Exam Right for Failed Courses

  • Students who have taken all courses except for internships, and failed a maximum of two courses with grades of (FF) or (FD) are given an additional exam right, excluding long-term project courses like thesis, studio, internship, etc.

Additional Exam Right for Students with Low GPA

  • Students who have passed all courses except for internships but have a GPA below 2.00 are given an additional exam right for the courses they received grades of (DD), (DC), or (CC), excluding long-term project courses like thesis, studio, etc. This right continues until the GPA requirement is met.
